Tanita
Tanita is a Japanese maker of health measurement devices. Most sources date the company to 1944, when it started as a metalworking business, and it began making scales in 1959. It produced Japan's first digital health meter in 1978.
Tanita is credited with launching the world's first home body-fat scale in the early 1990s, and is best known for body composition monitors.
